eXchange Is Named One of Fastest-Growing Salons
East Lansing-----The Douglas J eXchange Salon in
East Lansing has been named one of the 200 fastest-growing
salons in North America by Salon Today magazine,
a top business publication for the professional
beauty industry. The eXchange is located at 333
Albert Street, inside the Marriott Hotel, in East
Lansing.
The magazine’s 10th annual Salon Today 200
profiled the selected salons in its January 2007
issue. The 200 salons were selected from applications
submitted by Salon Today readers, who represent
the 25,000 top-producing salons in the country.
The magazine honored the applicants who posted the
highest increases in gross sales between 2004 and
2005, and who were on track to increase sales significantly
in 2006.
“The 10th annual issue of Salon Today 200
continues the tradition of featuring salons with
excellent customer service, client retention and
growth strategies,” said Laurel Smoke, editor-in-chief
of Salon Today. “Salon Today 200 owners keep
their businesses competitive in a tough market while
continuing to provide top education for their employees
and the best services to their clients,” she
added.
Scott Weaver, President and Co-Owner of Douglas
J, said the recognition from Salon Today is especially
meaningful “because we were competing with
the best salons in the country.” Scott’s
brother, T.J., Vice President and Co-Owner of Douglas
J, stated that the eXchange in East Lansing is one
of the fastest growing salons because “of
the high quality of the services that it provides
to its guests.”
The eXchange, which is an intimate salon, offers
a menu of services in hair, color, skin care and
massage therapy. In addition to the eXchange in
East Lansing, there is a Douglas J eXchange located
in Ann Arbor. The East Lansing eXchange is open
for retail and services on Tuesday, 8 a.m. to 5
p.m., Wednesday through Friday, noon to 9 p.m.,
and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
