Dick Deadman Now Parks His Sled at Douglas J
OKEMOS---Santa Claus has just experienced the wonderful
hospitality of the Douglas J and he’s inviting
children and their parents to come visit him there.
“We’re pleased to announce that Dick
Deadman, who was the popular Santa at the Lansing
Mall for many years, will now be greeting children
and parents at our Douglas J eXchange located in
the Marriott Hotel in downtown East Lansing ”,
Doug Weaver, Douglas J founder, announced today.
Santa will be there from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays
starting Friday, December 15, and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
on the weekends through December 23.
Deadman
recently lost his Lansing Mall Santa position. “We
heard people calling in to Michaels in the Morning
on WMMQ to complain about what happened to Dick
and we knew we had to do something about that,”
Weaver said. “Dick didn’t want to disappoint
the children and their parents and we didn’t
want to see them disappointed either. Everyone at
Douglas J is glad to assist Santa in making children
happy,” he said.
Douglas
J also is doing everything it can to assist busy
holiday shoppers. Its popular eXpress drive-thru,
which is located next to its Day Spa Salon at 4663
Ardmore in Okemos, can help shoppers buy the perfect
gift or gift certificate without having to get out
of their cars. In addition, Douglas J has a kiosk
at the Meridian Mall in Okemos where shoppers can
get expert advice and quick, friendly service.
